Guest Presentation: Qualified Listeners
Chrysti Britt shared information about Qualified Listeners, a volunteer-based organization offering:
- Free rides for medical and non-medical needs (ambulatory and wheelchair accessible)
- Peer-to-peer support and advocacy
- Service area from Wyoming to New Mexico
- Support for veterans in partnership with the VA
- One-time financial assistance (e.g., car repairs paid directly to vendors)
- Assistance with home modifications (e.g., grab bars) and home furnishings
- Donation acceptance (furniture and medical equipment in good condition)

- Via’s AI assistant “Alex” now supports ride booking
- Alex can switch languages, provide compassionate phone support, and connect callers to a live person
- Via served 3,000 riders from late September through December
- New, quieter Patera buses coming online; Gilic fleet awaiting license plates
