Title of Rule: Disability Navigator for the Aid to the Needy Disabled – State Only ( And- SO) Program
Vote: 2nd reading, and passed with a unanimous vote of 9.
The rationale behind this rule addition is to add language pursuant to HB19-1223 which creates a program to help clients applying for or receiving Aid to the Needy Disabled – State Only (AND- SO) apply for federal disability benefits. AND-SO provides interim assistance to adults with disabilities while they pursue federal disability benefits. The program created with HB19-1223 establishes a program that offers navigation services to assist this population with the federal disability application and appeal process. The rules will outline county requirements for operating the program, information about evaluation, and language around the allocation. Effective date will be 7/1/2020.
