DRCOG Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) – April 26, 2021

The DRCOG TAC meeting was held April 26, 2021 via Zoom. There was no public comment, and no corrections or additions were made to the meeting summary from the April 5, 2021 meeting.

The only action item was approval of Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRSSAA) and American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Section 5310 Funding.  The TAC followed DRCOG staff recommendations to allocate these funds to operating and mobility management projects that were awarded funding during DRCOG’s last FTA 5310 call for projects in April 2020. A proposed amendment to DRCOG Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Section 5310 (Enhanced Mobility of Seniors & Individuals with Disabilities) Program Management Plan was then presented that will allow DRCOG pre-award authority to reimburse project sponsors for the projects approved by the DRCOG Board last fall.

A discussion of 2024-2027 TIP Policy Development and the Regional Share occurred with further discussion to follow in later meetings. Ron Papsdorf from DRCOG shared information about Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) Grants, and there was discussion of TAC members sharing their plans for RAISE grant funding at the next meeting to allow for coordination.
