- BoCo IDD Mil Levy Update, Rebecca Seiden
- They have a needs assessment for the community (housing, mental health, self-advocacy, education, monitoring, etc.) and they have a committee that meets monthly to make recommendations for future uses of funding from the Levy
- Cultivate
- Aging in place is their goal and 90% of seniors want to age in their own homes. A couple of the challenges they have been struggling with are consistent volunteers and they have less funding for mileage reimbursement.
- CO 119 Project
- They are hoping to make improvements to make alternative modes of transit competitive with driving to incentivize people to get out of their cars. This includes the creation and inclusion of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) stations, park n rides, improvement to intersections, bikeway underpasses and bus queue bypasses. More information can be found here: https://www.rtd-denver.com/about-rtd/projects/co-119-bus-rapid-transit-brt-project
- North Foothills Bikeway Feasibility Study
- This has a goal of trying to make biking safer and more appealing to bikers who aren’t comfortable biking on main roads with high speeds
- Boulder to Erie Regional Trail (BERT)
- They are evaluating options for the creation of a new soft-surface regional trail linking Boulder to Erie (8.5 miles long). They are evaluating options and doing needs assessments. There are other hard-surface trails that may be better for commuting and other purposes. Some sections may be hard-surface or boardwalks but most sections will be soft-surface (gravel).
