Transit Accessibility Working Group -September 25, 2021 

Three issues were discussed as this meeting.   

St. Louis Metro is looking for a consultant to help with its self-evaluation plan.     

Emergency call boxes in Boston subway stations are not always easy to locate.  Suggestions included, dedicated phone number for emergencies, an app, direct message on twitter, dedicated text number for emergency and customer service. 

Montreal -STM asked about integrating paratransit with fixed route service.  New Jersey transit has found it works well to provide incentives to those who combine paratransit with fixed route lines.  It works especially well with long trips.  Most agreed that incentives help encourage the combining of the two services.  Often the incentive includes free rides on the fixed routes after using paratransit.
