Adams County LCC Meeting Highlights – June 16, 2026
- National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD) shared information about its year-round adaptive sports and recreation programs serving individuals with physical, cognitive, developmental, and behavioral disabilities, veterans, and families.
- NSCD discussed transportation challenges to camps and internet access for school-based programs. DRMAC recommended potential partnerships with Qualified Listeners for veterans and PCs for People for internet assistance.
- Northeast Transportation Connections (NETC) presented its transportation programs, including the Denver Connector shuttle, E-Bike Library, Transportation Demand Management services, employer commute programs, and community mobility education.
- NETC announced a proposed RTD microtransit partnership in Commerce City, anticipated to launch in 2027, and encouraged partners to help spread awareness.
- Members learned about the Central 70 Toll Equity Program, which provides eligible Globeville and Elyria-Swansea residents with toll credits, free RTD passes, and weekend GES Connector service to improve transportation equity.
- Attendees were reminded about Bike to Work Day on June 24 and encouraged to participate at supporting locations.
- The next Adams County LCC meeting will be held on August 18, 2026, from 12:00–1:00 PM.
