DRMAC’s Guided Tour of the 5280 Trail

This week a group of transit advocates had a great guided tour of the 5280 Trail. About 20 folks met with their bicycles at noon in Skyline Plaza in front of the Downtown Denver Partners office. Andrew Iltis and Adam Perkins led the group, using cargo bikes to carry all of their props – they brought sunscreen and water and story boards for each stop along the trail. The group looped around downtown Denver stopping at various part of the trail to learn about the segment just traversed and the upcoming portion. Along the way we learned about the history of the trail, the history of the divergent parts of downtown, and the vision for the future – immediate and further out.
