Updates were provided on RTD services including the hiring of a new General Manager, Debra Johnson. Attendees were informed that masks are required on all RTD services: Bus, Rail, Flex Ride, and Access-a-Ride. Attendees were also informed Access-a-Ride is still providing free reverse services. They will pick up and deliver groceries for eligible riders. Access-a-Ride drivers are wearing masks and vehicles are being appropriately cleaned and sanitized.

As state and federal benefits begin to run out, and evictions pick up, experts are predicting an increase in the number of people experiencing homelessness. COLORADO — The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is expanding access for its Bustang service with a new route expected to launch from Pueblo to Trinidad in January 2021. It’s one of a several projects CDOT is looking at over the years to expand and improve services in rural parts of the state. Read more
