The Broomfield LCC met virtually on Friday, December 11th at 9:30 am. Anyone is welcomed to join our group.
The group discussed updates to transit in the Broomfield area. Via Mobility has had a lot going on, including their reverse service bringing food and prescriptions to their clients, helping with fire evacuations in Estes Park, starting new service in Firestone, and more. They are also looking to hire drivers. Broomfield EZ Ride is making reassurance calls to their rider base and has been participating in the Ride Alliance program. The City and County of Broomfield is happy to have continued Flex Ride service with their second vehicle as they have had capacity issues. DRMAC talked about transit funding issues and their Christmas gift to the LCC of Live Binders. The group discussed beginning a partnership with the area’s TMA, Commuting Solutions, beginning in 2021. Sarah Grant will pursue that opportunity.
The January meeting will focus on planning for activities for 2021. Next meeting will be January 8th at 9:30am. Email teague@uber.com for the next invitation.
